The Cluster-central Compact Steep-spectrum Radio Galaxy 1321+045

The radio galaxy 1321+045 is a rare example of young, compact steep spectrum source located in the center z=0.263 cluster. Using combination Chandra, VLBA, VLA, MERLIN and IRAM 30m observations, we investigate conditions which have triggered this outburst. We find that previously identified 5 kpc scale lobes are probably no longer powered by AGN, seems to launched new ~20 pc jet on different axis, likely within last few hundred years. estimate enthalpy be 8.48 [+6.04,-3.56] x10^57 erg, only sufficient balance cooling surrounding 16 for ~9 Myr. cluster ICM properties similar those rapidly nearby clusters, with low central entropy (8.6 [+2.2,-1.4] kev cm^2 8 kpc), short time (390 [+170,-150] Myr), t_cool/t_ff t_cool/t_eddy ratios indicative thermal instability out ~45 kpc. Despite previous detection Halpha emission from BCG, our observations do not detect CO either (1-0) or (3-2) transitions. place 3sigma limits molecular gas mass M_mol <=7.7x10^9 Msol <=5.6x10^9 two lines respectively. indications recent minor merger has left ~200 tail stripped ICM, induced sloshing motions.
